Language Help

MCC Community Brochure (1).png

MCC Medical Clinic uses all available resources to overcome language barriers between patients and its providers. While we have staff members who can communicate in several languages, such as Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic, Amharic, Spanish, Kashmiri, and Bangla, we can also request help from  Montgomery County’s Language Bank. This is a group of volunteers available to help translate and interpret for County government agencies and registered nonprofit organizations serving residents with limited English proficiency. The service is for eligible organizations that need assistance communicating effectively with residents and clients, not for individuals that need language assistance. MCC Medical Clinic is authorized to use this service for its patients.

Patients who are not comfortable communicating in English can request the interpreting service by informing us 2 to 3 days ahead of their scheduled appointment. We will make every effort to find an interpreter for them. Please be advised that there is no guarantee that an interpreter will be available on the scheduled appointment date. This service is absolutely free.   Patients are also encouraged to bring with them a family member or friend who can help with the interpretation.
